Why European-Standard Organic Formula is Better for Your Baby

We all want to do what's best for our babies. Organic food producers in the United States guaranteed that they would not send products that contained tetracycline or streptomycin to the European Union, and they also agreed to produce an official import certificate for each product sent to countries in the EU. In return, EU producers stipulated that they would not label any meats sent to the United States as organic if they included antibiotics. Instead of clearing the waters, however, this equivalency has only muddied things further. 

In general, organic standards in the European Union are considered more stringent than those in the United States, and this is partially because the EU has stricter policies against genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and has banned a huge list of potentially unsafe products and ingredients. It's important to remember, however, that both regulatory agencies protect consumers by ensuring that organic products do not contain synthetic chemicals or GMOs.
