A quick reference guide is to mix 1 oz of filtered water to 1 scoop (or 1 tablespoon) of formula powder. This is the measurement we use for our babies, and it has worked extremely well for all stages.
If you do not have time to boil water or to use a bottle warmer, a quick tip is to simply measure out the amount of water needed, pour in the corresponding scoops of formula, shake to mix, then heat the bottle under running hot water until the correct desired temperature is reached. 1. Boil water before each meal and allow to cool to about 122℉

2. Fill the bottle with about half of the desired amount of water

3. Fill the measuring spoon loose and smooth it out with the back of a knife. Fill the required amount of powder into the bottle.

4. Close the bottle and shake vigorously. Add remaining water and shake well again.

5. Before feeding check the drinking temperature (about 98℉)

Holle Porridge/Cereal Preparation General Guide

The information below is a good start for mixing porridge, but feel free to adjust the measurements to a consistency that is best for your baby. Feel free to contact us at any time with questions.

 

With Organic Infant Formula (Holle or Lebenswert):

Prepare approximately 6 oz of formula by adding 5 oz of filtered water and 5 scoops of formula. Mix well and heat the bottle under running water if you are using cold water. Add 4 tablespoons of Holle Organic Porridge/Cereal to a bowl, and then add the formula and mix everything together. Allow the mixture to cool before serving.

 

With Water:

Boil or heat approximately 7 oz of water and allow to cool a bit. Measure 5 tablespoons of Holle Organic Porridge/Cereal and mix with the warm water. Stir and allow to cool before serving.

 

With Breast Milk:

Mix 5 tablespoons of Holle Organic Porridge/Cereal with approximately 4.5 oz of warm breast milk. Be sure to not heat the milk beyond 100F degrees as it can destroy nutrients and good bacteria.
